the part that REALLY ticks me off???

we had just returned

from our 2nd visit to the dealer

who is about 75 miles away....

again I say...

WHAT THE ????

 

if the choice was only mine -

I KNOW what I would pick for our next vehicle.....

I reached down and picked up a little piece of iron ~
that is shaped like an iron
Was it used as an iron by one of the Nyman ladies??
How many decades
has it been out there buried in the ground??
AND
How many more cool things are buried out there??

I went to Gladwin with Bob again today....

and again we stopped at the ice cream store -

where they have a WONDERFUL tasting product they call

SKINNY DIP (no sugar, no fat)

and another product called

Dole WHIP (low fat) --

that is what I had today

and the flavor was...

ORANGE RASPBERRY....

MMM MMM GOOD!!!

Problems with the bug continue...

today we drove all the way to

Muskegon to a VW dealer.....

now we shall see if they are correct

in their diagnosis of the problem....

The BEST part of the day????

There is a Barnes & Noble

right around the corner -

I have visited this area OFTEN -

took Bob there at least once before...

Soooo today I drove,

pulled up in front of B&N,

jumped out and said call me when you are done....

Ahhhh - I LOVE Barnes and Noble...

I used to live about 20 miles away from one -

so for the last few years I have had B&N withdrawels for sure

but today was a very nice day....

oh yea, and I hope the car gets fixed too....:-))))

#31- Amish Country Yet Again....

So today we headed out early to take the bug to the repair shop -

they had to keep it, so I was off to Gladwin...

AGAIN, with Bob.

It was a rainy day, but I snapped this pic

of a farmer and what I guess you would called his

This morning we looked out to see FIVE (extra) swans on the pond....

and Mr. Swanee was swimming around ...all puffed up...

trying to intimidate...

it didn't take long before he convinced them to seek out

bluer -- more friendly, ponds :-)

I love watching how baby hangs so close to mama -

and mama does not put up with any chicken or person

We LOVE the Leelanau Peninsula...

we actually imagine living there someday --

today we took the boat up on Lake Leelanau..

21 miles long...we went from one end to the other....

a very nice day.....
