I was working on the deck the other day,

when I looked up to see Mr. Swanee...

Normally not very friendly, he had walked

from the pond up to the driveway.

He was giving me some great shadows,

so I grabbed my camera and started snapping away!!

 You can see his mouth open...

he was giving me a little hiss-

just in case I might be thinking he had walked all the way

up to the deck because he likes me!!!

OK....enough is enough -

time for a little rest!!

My kitty discovered that a big piece of cardboard on the floor and overhead lights

made for a combination she could not resist!

Well it is spring!!!

And we have had lots of sNoW and VeRy cold temps this week.

One good thing...

Shadows look great against the snow!

You will notice my kitty Mimi under the bird feeders -

she is a house kitty that usually stays on the deck to enjoy the sun.

I was very surprised to see her perched under the bird feeders-

I shot the pic, then opened the door and said

"Girlfriend I don't want you there" and she came running in the door.

~  Since she usually ignores me when she is outdoors,

I'm thinkin' she just wanted her picture taken..;-) ~

It has been very pretty -

BUT

I think it's time for a little spring-like weather!!

Last week while looking through my photos I came across these taken last summer.

My grandson was visiting and I was snapping pictures like crazy....

you know,  just being a Grandma - --

Anyway I discovered that along with my cutie pie grandson

 I had captured some pretty decent shadows!!!

SO..... since we are in the middle of a rather dreary month,

I thought this would be a good time to share some
